Earn Horseback Riding Time by Volunteering

Kimberly Farms pictures in winter and summer

Earn riding time by cleaning barns, feeding, watering, cleaning tack, grooming horses, helping the instructor, or performing other useful tasks. This program is open to both adults and children, and is especially useful for people who would like to someday own a horse and would like to learn basic equine management.

Children are welcome to participate as long as the child is strong enough and shows enough self-discipline to do useful work. Horse-related activities are well supervised, and there is an emphasis on safety and respect for both humans and animals.

Seasoned volunteers with good horsemanship skills are allowed to back up trail rides as part of their chores, or even to ride with minimal supervision.

After every eight hours of barn work, the working student is entitled to a 1 hour ride.

Trade your time for lots of fun an fabulous learning opportunities with our seasoned staff. Work side by side with skilled horse lovers.
