Horsemanship Camps

Send your child to savor summer in Vermont at our friendly, individualized horsemanship camp. We emphasize not just riding, but building a holistic relationship with each horse. Our camps also encourage personal growth for each camper. Learning new skills and connecting with people and animals builds self esteem, and many of our students find horsemanship becomes a driving interest for many years. We limit the number of campers to preserve this individualized approach.

Each week is packed with fun activities both on and off the horses. At Kimberly Farms, campers ride every day, and take off-site field trips to interesting places. Riding lessons, horse care, nature walks, flashlight tag, and a late-night cookout all add to the fun, but the best part of the experience is sharing laughs and making lifelong friends. Overnight campers enjoy home-cooked, nutritious meals. We offer both day and overnight horsemanship camp to kids of all ages and every level of riding ability, including the first-time beginner.

More Camper Information

• Bring a friend or sibling receive a discount!
• We welcome campers age 3 to adult!
• We suggest children 3-5 enroll in the morning-only program.
• All day campers should bring a lunch and a beverage.
• Before and after care is available.
• Additional private riding lessons are available to campers.

Other Adventures

Scouting troops can come to Kimberly Farms to earn their horsemanship badges! We also offer pony rides to groups and families.

How about a cook-out? Enjoy the beauty of Vermont while cooking your supper over a barbecue pit! We provide the fire and food, you cook and eat it.

Horseback riding is available in all seasons, and hiking, canoeing, fishing, and shopping are available nearby.

Private one, two, or three-day custom horsemanship camps can be custom-arranged upon request during the off-season.

Kimberly Farms offers year-round camping far more private than those you would find at a commercial campground. Pitch your tent on the quiet farmland or on the mountainside and wake to the sound of horses calling to one another, and a symphony of birdsong all around. Water and electric hookups available.

Group Activities

Large group day event: (20-120 people) This event is wonderful for family reunions, retreats, and organizations. It is a perfect day adventure. Hike and explore our 60 acre woods, take a trail ride, hay ride, home-style cook our supper, smores and a bonfire. We create a custom event to fit your needs.

Large group overnight event: (10-20 people) similar to our day adventure, we create an overnight event to suit your needs, with home cooked meals served family style, trail rides, horse activities, hiking. You can truly leave your cares behind.

Women’s Weekend: A special weekend for special women! This 2 night event is catered to fit your needs, could consist of several of the following options: up to 3 hours of riding on our 60 acre mountainous property, private lessons, spa treatments and massage available, home-style meals, leisurely hikes, and the ability to immerse yourself in all types of horse care.
