Horse Rider, Horse Fan Horse Badge Requirements

Girl Scout troops can come to Kimberly Farms to earn their horsemanship badges. Learn the basics required to obtain the Horse Fan Junior Badge, Horse Rider Junior Badge and/or Horse Sense Interest Project Award. Sessions include an introduction to horseback riding, horse safety, and grooming. Older Girl Scouts can spend time meeting the requirements of their Horse Sense badge.

Scouting Activities

Camp out, cookout, smores and bonfire. Enjoy scouting activity camaraderie with trail rides, hayrides and home-style cookout supper. Enjoy the beauty of outdoors while cooking your supper over a barbecue pit! We provide the fire and food, you cook and eat it.

Kimberly Farms offers year-round camping far more private than those you would find at a commercial campground. Pitch your tent on the quiet farmland or on the mountainside and wake to the sound of horses calling to one another, and a symphony of birdsong all around. Water and electric hookups are available.

We also offer pony rides to groups and families.

Horseback riding is available in all seasons, and hiking, canoeing, fishing, and shopping are available nearby.

Bring your troop to have fun, experience interesting horses and earn badges.
